I am unsure if I need speech therapy. Do you offer free screenings?
Yes. Please call us to schedule a free screening today! After the screening we will let you know if further evaluation is needed.
If I am evaluated do I have to receive therapy?
No. You are not under any obligation to utilize Wellspring for services. Following an initial evaluation the therapist will make recommendations. It will be up to you to decide whether or not you wish to pursue speech/language therapy.
Where do your clients receive therapy?
For your convenience, Wellspring provides speech/language therapy services in a client's home, school, or office. Please call if you have questions about whether speech/language therapy services are available in your area.
Do I need to be at home while you work with my child?
Yes. A parent or another adult authorized by a parent (e.g., babysitter, nanny, grandparent) must be home throughout the treatment session. It is not necessary for the parent to participate in the entire session. However, the last five minutes of each session will be spent reviewing goals, progress and homework with the parent or authorized adult.
I am not sure my child needs speech therapy. Should I call?
Absolutely! I would be happy to speak with you to determine if a speech/language evaluation is the next best step. Even if you think your child's speech and language skills are developing normally and you just want a single evaluation to confirm it, calling is the first step.
Does Wellspring Therapy Services accept insurance?
Yes. Wellspring Therapy is an in-network provider for many insurance companies. We can also happy to provide documentation of speech/language therapy services for you to submit to your insurance company or FSA for reimbursement.
If I decide to go with your services, how often will we meet?
The frequency of therapy is determined by the extent of the individual's delay/disorder, age, attention space and what works with each person's schedule. However, the standard recommendation is two 30-minute sessions per week.
